On the 22nd, Mapo Police Station in Seoul reported that rapper San E had been sent to the prosecution without arrest on charges of aggravated assault on the 10th. According to the police, Mapo Police Station in Seoul received a report that San E assaulted a passerby at a park in Mapo-gu at around 8:30pm on the July 28, 2024. San E’s father was also charged with hitting the passerby, but the investigation was closed by agreement between the parties.
San E was initially charged with assault, but the charge was changed to aggravated assault when the victim’s injuries were confirmed. It was reported that the victim had suffered a torn area near his eye and some damaged teeth. Allegedly, the rapper reprimanded a passerby for not properly handling their bicycle and used his mobile phone to strike the individual near the eye, causing a laceration. The victim also suffered damage to their teeth as a result of the altercation. The police responded promptly after receiving a distress call, conducting inquiries involving both the rapper and the injured party.
