How to watch 2025 Oscar nominations live
It’s time for the Oscars nominations!
After months of predictions, interviews, and screenings, we’ll soon find out which of 2024’s films will become Oscar nominees. It really is an honor to even be in the conversation of the film industry’s best work each year.
Expectations are that the March 2 awards ceremony hosted by Conan O’Brien (it’s his first time!) will recognize titles including Emilia Pérez, Conclave, The Brutalist, and Anora, as well as Wicked, A Complete Unknown, and The Substance. As always, though, there are sure to be at least a few snubs and surprises.

When are the 2025 Oscar nominations?
While the original date of the Oscar nominations announcement was pushed back twice due to the wildfires in Los Angeles, they are now confirmed for Thursday, Jan. 23, Look for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to make the official announcement early at 8:30 a.m. ET/5:30 a.m. PT from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles.
Where can I watch the 2025 Oscar nominations announcement?
It’ll be hard to miss: The nods will be announced in a global livestream at Oscar.com, Oscars.org, or on the Academy’s social media channels. It can also be streamed live on ABC News Live, Disney+, and Hulu. Who is announcing the 2025 Oscar nominations?
Prepare to be entertained, because Wicked actor and Saturday Night Live cast member Bowen Yang and Bottoms actress Rachel Sennott, who played writer Rosie Shuster in the SNL movie Saturday Night, will unveil the list of nominees.
When is the 2025 Oscars ceremony?
The 2025 Oscars air Sunday, March 2 on ABC, beginning at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. Fans can catch that red carpet presentation starting at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT.
